Erin Could Bring Squalls To Lesser Antilles

August 13, 2025

Tropical Storm Erin continues to race across the central Atlantic. The National Hurricane Center shows Erin becoming a hurricane by Thursday or Friday, and potentially a major hurricane by the weekend. Erin is expected to stay north of the Lesser Antilles, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, but could get close enough to bring some impacts by the weekend. Erin will most likely turn northeast, away from the U.S., but will still bring large swells, rough surf and a high risk for rip currents to the East Coast next week.
