A stalled front will bring the chance for heavy rain and flooding to the Ohio Valley and mid-Atlantic Friday into the weekend. Friday’s highest flood concern is across the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, including places like Charlottesville and Harrisonburg. Heavy downpours could produce rainfall rates in excess of 3 inches per hour in places that don’t need anymore rain. A few severe storms will also be possible with damaging winds as the main threat.
