Midwest, Lakes On Alert For EF3 Tornadoes, 75+ MPH Winds

Friday’s level 3 out of 5 severe risk continues to expand and now includes Chicago, Madison, La Crosse, Cedar Rapids and Peoria. Widespread severe storms are likely to develop starting Friday afternoon continuing well into Friday night. A few strong tornadoes, hail larger than golf balls and damaging winds in excess of 75 mph will all be possible. Heavy rain could also lead to flooding.
