Tuesday’s severe weather threat in the Southern Plains has been upgraded to a moderate threat (level 4 of 5) in northeastern Texas, including the Dallas-Forth Worth metro area. Storms capable of producing giant, softball-sized hail (up to or over 4 inches across) will move through the area this evening. This is part of a larger severe weather threat across the South and parts of the Southeast, where large hail, damaging winds and even tornadoes are also possible.
