Record Heat Shifts East, Bringing Relief To West, Central Plains

The relentless heat is ongoing across the Southwest and Central Plains. Temperatures in the 80s and 90s are expected across much of the area, running 20 to nearly 40 degrees above average. However, by midweek a pattern change will shift the heat eastward, bringing some much welcomed relief to the West and Central Plains. Here’s the latest.
