Clusters of severe storms will begin to develop this afternoon across the mid-Atlantic and the Northeast out ahead of a slow-moving cold front. Storms will likely impact the evening commute along the Interstate 95 corridor from New York City to Philadelphia down to Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Damaging winds and locally heavy rain will be the main threats. Heavy rain could lead to flash flooding given how wet it has been lately, so please use caution when traveling.
