After early-morning storms, Round 2 will develop later this afternoon into this evening across the Plains and the Midwest. Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats, although an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Heavy rain could also lead to flash flooding, especially across parts of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. The severe storm threat lessens on Wednesday before the active pattern returns by the end of the week and into the weekend.
