The severe weather threat will increase early next week as a cold front moves across the Plains and Midwest. Damaging winds and large hail will be the main threats, although an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Locally heavy rain could also lead to flash flooding as multiple rounds of storms develop Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Places most at risk include Minneapolis, Omaha, Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago and Milwaukee.
