Two Areas Of Interest For National Hurricane Center

The tropics are heating up… the National Hurricane Center is watching twin interest areas on either side of Mexico - one in the Eastern Pacific basin and one in the Bay of Campeche. The development chances are steadily increasing for each interest area, but the area of low pressure south of Mexico’s southeast coast is looking the most likely for development this weekend. No direct impacts from either potential system are expected for the United States, but the Pacific system could bring a shot of moisture to the Southwest next week. Here’s what you need to know.
