Tornadoes Are More Powerful Than We Realize

At least 17 confirmed tornadoes impacted the Southeast in the severe weather outbreak earlier this week.

Hail and damaging wind reports stretched from Texas across the Southeast into Georgia and Kentucky. Tornadoes were reported in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.

I​n Caldwell Parish, Louisiana, an EF-3 tornado traveled roughly seven miles, damaging homes along the way.
