Storm-weary portions of the Plains and Midwest will see more severe weather and possible flooding rainfall on the heels of several rounds of damaging storms that have affected those regions since late last week.

W​hat We Are Tracking Now

T​his most recent bout of severe storms began Tuesday afternoon in the Midwest and Plains. Just over a dozen reports of tornadoes were tallied up in parts of Oklahoma, Kansas and Iowa.

W​estmoreland, Kansas, is one of the communities that was heavily damaged by a tornado. One person in that town has been killed, according to local officials.

S​howers and thunderstorms are ongoing in parts of the Plains. Below is a look at the latest radar as well as any watches and warnings that are in effect.

H​eavy rainfall might contribute to flash flooding in the Plains and South through Thursday, especially in central and eastern parts of Texas. Flood watches have been issued by the National Weather Service for some areas, as shown below.

T​iming Out The Next Rounds Of Storms

T​hursday-Friday: Widespread rain and thunderstorms will impact parts of the Plains, Midwest and South to end the week.

On Thursday, a few storms could turn severe and produce gusty winds or hail from the upper Mississippi Valley southward to Texas. Flash flooding from heavy rainfall is also possible from eastern Texas and northern and western Louisiana to the upper Mississippi Valley and western Great Lakes.

F​riday's heavy rainfall could make flash flooding possible in portions of the South.

O​n The Heels Of A Major Tornado Outbreak

More than 120 tornadoes were spawned by severe storms in the Plains and Midwest from late last week through the weekend.

That number is expected to rise since the National Weather Service needs to complete surveys, which will take days. Below is a look at all the tornado reports the NWS has compiled from Friday through Sunday.

A​t least EF3 damage has been found in tornadoes that hit parts of Oklahoma and Nebraska.
