This might be the weirdest tornado we see all year.

Thursday night in the Omaha area, a thin tornado was in progress, and the tall, slender funnel could be seen for miles – even from Council Bluffs, Iowa, on the other side of the state line. For several minutes, the twister tracked near the two cities, providing a show for thousands that was well-documented on social media.

The tornado was not responsible for any damage, according to Omaha.com. It was first spotted around 5:30 p.m. CDT and dissipated about five minutes later, injuring no one, the report added. To some, the twister appeared to be stationary in the Lake Manawa area on the Iowa side of the border, the Dail Nonpareil reported.

"It looked like a rat tail coming out of the sky," James Glover told Omaha.com.

A second tornado was reported near Ashland, Nebraska, well to the southwest of the other twister, Omaha.com also said. No injuries or damage were reported from that tornado, either, according to the Associated Press.
