Winter Storm Ursula brought moderate to heavy snow to portions of New York and southern New England Monday.

Ursula was part of a series of clipper systems that impacted the Midwest and Northeast. The first clipper system brought snow and powerful winds to parts of the Midwest and Northeast regions Saturday into Sunday morning.

Ursula dumped more than a half foot of snow to parts of New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and Rhode Island. Snowfall rates were locally heavy at times in some areas, including in Albany, New York, and parts of Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Those high snowfall rates contributed to low visibility and dangerous travel conditions.

Connecticut: 6.8 inches in Moosup; 0.23 inches of ice was reported in New Haven
Maine: 4 inches in Cape Neddick
Massachusetts: 9.3 inches in Cedarville
New Hampshire: 4.8 inches near Strafford
New York: 8 inches in West Shokan; 0.10 inches of ice was measured in Willow
Rhode Island: 7.5 inches in Warren; 0.25 inches of ice in Westerly
Vermont: 7.5 inches in Woodford
