South: Avoid Travel As Ice Continues To Accumulate

Freezing rain will continue to accumulate across the South today, making travel treacherous. Expect the wintry weather to gradually come to an end this afternoon as Winter Storm Fern shifts east. However, there will also be a severe weather side to this massive storm system. A line of storms will move along the Gulf Coast this afternoon into this evening. Severe storms will be possible across southern Alabama, southern Georgia and the Florida Panhandle, including places like Mobile, Tallahassee, Pensacola, Albany and Dothan.
