Winter Storm Fern could bring a damaging amount of ice to the Southeast Saturday into Sunday. Rain will begin to change over to a mix of freezing rain and sleet on Saturday in places like Atlanta, Raleigh, Charlotte, Columbia, Nashville and Memphis. The rain/ice line continues to shift and the duration of ice accumulation will determine impacts. Either way, prepare for tree damage and extended power outages during the bitter cold.
