Winter Storm Fern is expected to bring widespread ice and sleet to the Southeast this weekend. The precipitation will start out as all rain, then change over to a mix of freezing rain and sleet Saturday into Sunday in places like Atlanta, Charlotte and Nashville. Ice accumulations could range from a quarter of an inch to a full inch, leading to numerous power outages. Some areas will also see heavy snowfall.
