Busiest Airports for Thanksgiving Travel

Aside from all that glorious food, getting the family together is the greatest joy of Thanksgiving. But for some holiday travelers, that reunion will come at a price. If long security lines and large crowds bring you stress, you may want to get to these airports early.

According to the Orbitz.com, 73 percent of Americans are expected to travel this Thanksgiving and Christmas. So who has it worst? Their 2016 survey says flights from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to Los Angeles International (LAX) will likely be the most congested during Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, travel from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to Denver International Airport (DEN) will likely be the most crowded during Christmas.

The average price of Thanksgiving airfare to the top 10 travel destinations is $409, with average hotel costs of $158. But being with your family? Priceless.
