The freshly snow and cold temperatures will likely lead to commuting delays in Chicago, Indianapolis and Cincinnati on Tuesday morning.

The Upper Midwest and Ohio Valley saw snow from the early stages of Winter Storm Janus late Monday through early Tuesday.

A band of lake-effect snow brought some of the heaviest accumulations to parts of the Chicago metro area during the overnight hours. O'Hare airport picked up close to a half foot of snow.

The freshly fallen snow and cold temperatures will likely lead to commuting delays across these regions, including Chicago, Indianapolis and Cincinnati, on Tuesday morning. Winter Storm Janus will impact commutes Tuesday afternoon and evening in Philadelphia, New York and Washington, D.C., among others.
