This May the Fourth, you may find yourself wondering about the forecast for a few of your favorite planets (and moons, space stations, etc.).

Well, we can’t provide you with the forecast for fictional planets, but how about a forecast for some of the Star Wars franchise’s most iconic filming locations?

Get the full out-of-this-world forecast here: Galactic Destinations

Finse, Norway (AKA Hoth)

It won’t surprise you that the forecast for the backdrop for the icy planet of Hoth is cold this week. Temperatures in this remote glacial plateau will stay in the 20s and 30s this week with snow on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Here’s hoping those nights aren’t so cold they’d kill a tauntaun.

Matmata, Tunisia (AKA Tatooine)

One of our desert locations is going to be hot this week, staying in the 80s and 90s. And while there’s no rain in the outlook, there will be some nice cloudy conditions later this week. Only one sun in that sunset, sorry!

Mount Etna, Sicily (AKA Mustafar)

Here’s the thing - Mount Etna is not on a completely volcanic planet. It’s a mountain in Italy, which is currently reasonably chilly. Temperatures will be in the 40s this week, and there’s rain coming on Friday. If you’re looking for the high ground, it could be a great hike, though.

Skellig Michael, Ireland (AKA Ahch-To)

A classic Irish island, Skellig Michael has a peaceful forecast this week with lows in the upper 40s and highs in the lower 50s, a pretty small temperature change, so you won’t need any bonfires that use sacred texts for fuel to keep warm. Keep an eye out for any porgs!

Rub' al Khali, Abu Dhabi (AKA Jakku)

Here’s the oven forecast for our Star Wars worlds. Rub' al Khali, the vast endless sea of towering sand dunes used for the barren landscape of Jakku in The Force Awakens, is hot this week. Highs will stay in the range of 110 to 120 degrees, and nights will be a balmy 85 or so. If you visit, let me know if you see any crashed Star Destroyers, please.

Lake Como, Italy (AKA Naboo)

Back to Italy for our journey across the stars with Lake Como, the filming location for the iconic planet of Naboo. It’s going to be wet this week, unfortunately, with rain expected every day of the work week. And if you hate sand, no need to worry. I hear everything here is soft… and smooth…

Grizzly Creek Redwoods, California (AKA The Forest Moon Of Endor)

Look, I grew up on Return of the Jedi, so ewoks and the forest moon of Endor have always been close to my heart. Things are looking pretty good this week, with temperatures ranging from the 40s at night to the 60s during the day. But keep in mind that there’s a lot of moisture in the air. Fog will maintain a cozy atmosphere, but it could also hide any incoming 74-Z speeder bikes and AT-STs.

Tikal, Guatemala (AKA Yavin 4)

Another muggy location to finish up our list with Tikal in Guatemala. Highs this week will hover just below 100 degrees, but the humidity this deep in the jungle will keep it feeling hotter. And while you may not actually see the Millennium Falcon flying overhead, it can’t hurt to close your eyes and imagine.

I hope you enjoyed our interstellar weather May the Fourth-cast.
