America's Health Rankings and United Health Foundation just released its annual ranking of the healthiest states in America. 

This year, Hawaii, a state known for sun, surf and stunning natural vistas came out as America's healthiest state for the second year in a row. (Last year, the Aloha State nabbed the top spot from a Northeastern state also known for a love of the outdoors, mountains and rolling hills.)

At the other end of the scale, 2012's unhealthiest state is taking home the title again this year, based on factors such as smoking and obesity rates, binge drinking, infectious disease and more.

49. Vermont

Vermont maintained its ranking from last year, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states. In 2011, it was dubbed the healthiest state in the country.

48. Minnesota

Minnesota maintained its ranking from last year, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

47. Massachusetts

Massachusetts ranked 47th this year, maintaining its 2012 rank, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

46. New Hampshire

New Hampshire ranked 46th this year, maintaining its 2012 rank, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

45. Utah

Utah ranked 45th this year, maintaining its 2012 rank, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

44. Connecticut

Connecticut ranked 44th this year, maintaining its 2012 rank, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

43. Colorado

Colorado ranked 43rd this year, up from 42 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

42. North Dakota

North Dakota ranked 42nd this year, down from 43rd in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

41. New Jersey

New Jersey ranked 41st this year, maintaining its 2012 rank, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

40. Nebraska

Nebraska ranked 40th this year, maintaining its 2012 rank, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

39. Idaho

Idaho ranked 39th this year, up from 32 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

38. Oregon

Oregon ranked 38th this year, up from 37 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

37. Washington

Washington ranked 37th this year, down from 39 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

36. New York

New York ranked 36th this year, up from 33 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

35. Maine

Maine ranked 35th this year, down from 36 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

34. Wyoming

Wyoming ranked 34th this year, up from 42 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

33. Iowa

Iowa ranked 33rd this year, down from 34 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

32. Rhode Island

Rhode Island ranked 32nd this year, down from 35 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

31. Wisconsin

Wisconsin ranked 31st this year, down from 38 in 2012, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

30. California

California ranked 30th this year, maintaining its 2012 rank, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

29. South Dakota

South Dakota ranked 29th this year, up from 28, according to the United Health Foundation's 2013 rankings of the unhealthiest states.

28. Montana

27. Maryland

26. Alaska

25. Virginia

24. Kansas

23. Arizona

22. Pennsylvania

21. Illinois

20. Delaware

19. New Mexico

18. Florida
