Tropical Storm Henri became the eighth named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season on Sept. 9, 2015. The system moved north and dissipated two days later without directly impacting any landmasses in the open Atlantic. The only affects felt were some glancing showers across Bermuda.

Senior meteorologist Stu Ostro noted that the eighth named storm of the last strong El Nino year of 1997 did not occur until October 16.
