Description

Significant snowfall and strong winds are expected. Locations: much of central to eastern Nova Scotia along the Atlantic coast. Total snowfall: 10 to 20 cm, possibly higher along the Atlantic coast. Time span: early Monday morning until Tuesday morning. Remarks: Snow is expected to spread west to east beginning after midnight tonight reaching eastern Cape Breton by mid morning Monday. Strong northeasterly wind gusts on Monday could cause reduced visibilities in blowing snow. There is some uncertainty as to where the heaviest snowfall will occur as a swath of heavier snow Monday night may remain offshore or affects parts of the coast, especially from Guysborough to Sydney Metro and Cape Breton counties. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
