Pailolo Channel... Until 915 AM HST. At 810 AM HST, a broad line of thunderstorms extends across waters around Maui, Molokai, and Lanai. Individual thunderstorms in this area were moving north to northeast at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Laau Point, Kalaupapa, Cape Halawa, Shipwreck Beach, Ilio Point, FAD Buoy K, Kahului Harbor, and FAD Buoy O. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Prepare for gusty winds, steep and fast-building seas, and blinding downpours. Stay low or go below, and make sure all on board are wearing life jackets. ...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM HST THIS MORNING FOR THE ISLAND OF MOLOKAI IN MAUI COUNTY... WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. WHERE...The island of Molokai in Maui County. WHEN...Until 1000 AM HST. IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 649 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy showers moving over Molokai from the south, with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Water levels in the Halawa and Kawela streams remain elevated from earlier rainfall. Additional heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected today. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... The entire island of Molokai. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. A Flood Watch is also in effect for all Hawaiian Islands until 6 PM HST Sunday. This advisory may need to be extended beyond 1000 AM HST if flooding; persists.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 736 AM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy showers moving over the Island of Lanai from the south, with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. WHERE...The island of Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, Maui, and the Big Island. WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. IMPACTS...Significant flooding may occur due to the overflow of streams and drainages. Roads in several areas may be closed, along with property damage in urban or low lying spots due to runoff. Landslides may also occur in areas with steep terrain. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A kona low developing west of the islands will draw abundant moisture northward as it strengthens and eventually departs to north early next week. Several rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall are anticipated. The heaviest rain is expected to last through tonight, except for the Big Island where the heaviest rain is expected on Sunday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
