ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:15 PM PDT Tuesday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 13.2 feet late tonight. ...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT THIS EVENING... WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 35 kt. WHERE...Puget Sound and Hood Canal. WHEN...until 11 PM PDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
