WHEN...Until 845 AM HST. IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 543 AM HST, radar indicated heavy showers and thunderstorms moving over Honolulu from the southwest, with rain falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Expect heavy showers and thunderstorms to quickly pass over the southeast half of Oahu through the early morning hours. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Honolulu, Manoa, Maunawili, Palolo, Waimanalo, Kaneohe, Kailua, Kalihi, Hawaii Kai, Moanalua, Ahuimanu, Kaneohe Marine Base, Kahaluu, Salt Lake, Makiki-Tantalus, Nuuanu, Waialae, Makiki, Waialae Iki and Moiliili. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to flooding. This advisory may need to be extended beyond 845 AM HST if flooding; persists.
