WHAT...For the Gale Warning, northeast winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 7 to 12 ft expected. For the Small Craft Advisory, east winds 20 to 30 kt and seas 7 to 12 ft expected. WHERE...Northeast Florida coastal waters from Fernandina Beach FL to Flagler Beach FL out to 20 NM. WHEN...For the Gale Warning, from 8 AM this morning to 5 AM EDT Sunday. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 5 AM Sunday to 2 PM EDT Monday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 8 to 10 feet. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. WHERE...Northeast Florida Beaches. WHEN...For the High Surf Advisory, until 5 AM EDT Monday. For the High Rip Current Risk, through Monday evening. IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
