...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT FRIDAY... WHAT...High temperatures in the low to mid 80s. WHERE...Orange County Coastal Areas. WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Friday. IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

...DENSE FOG TO AFFECT THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE INNER WATERS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... Clouds may clear briefly in the afternoon but will redevelop in the evening. Mariners, especially those boating through and across the San Pedro Channel, should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to one nautical mile or less. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other vessels, including large ships in the shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.
