WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Friday. IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

Coastal Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican Border and out to 10 NM

Description

Areas of fog over the coastal waters this morning will reduce visibility below 1 nautical mile at times. Fog is anticipated to lift by 11 AM today. Mariners should be prepared for abrupt changes in visibility. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other vessels, including large ships in shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.
