...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT FRIDAY... WHAT...Hot conditions with high temperatures in the 80s and 90s expected. WHERE...Los Angeles County Beaches, Malibu Coast, Palos Verdes Hills, Ventura County Beaches, and Ventura County Inland Coast. WHEN...Until 8 PM PDT Friday. IMPACTS...There is a high risk for heat illness for sensitive populations including the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Warm overnight low temperatures will contribute to the heat risk, especially in the mountain and foothill locations. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.

...DENSE FOG TO AFFECT THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE INNER WATERS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING... Clouds may clear briefly in the afternoon but will redevelop in the evening. Mariners, especially those boating through and across the San Pedro Channel, should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to one nautical mile or less. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other vessels, including large ships in the shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.
