...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CHST MONDAY... ...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT... WHAT...Large breaking waves 7 to 9 feet, building up to 12 feet, and dangerous rip currents. WHERE...Hazardous surf along north facing reefs and dangerous rip currents along north and east facing reefs of the Marianas. WHEN...Until 6 AM ChST Monday. IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northeast trade swell and longer-period north to northeast swell are generating a high risk of rip currents along north and east facing reefs and hazardous surf along north facing reefs. Northeast trade swell continues to build through the weekend where surf could reach up to 12 feet along north and east facing reefs, extending hazardous surf to east facing reefs. Swell may stay elevated Monday, which may warrant an extension. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rip currents will be life threatening. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CHST MONDAY... WHAT...East winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and seas 8 to 11 feet expected. WHERE...Marianas Coastal Waters. WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM ChST Monday. IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A broad, mid-latitude high pressure system is moving eastward off the coast of Japan. This will result in an increase in the regional pressure gradient and in turn, an increase in winds, gusts, and seas across the Marianas. Conditions are expected to become hazardous for small craft starting this evening. Fresh to strong winds with near-gale gusts and seas up to 11 feet are expected, building in from the northeast. Winds start to trend down by Monday afternoon, but seas and swell may stay elevated through Tuesday, possibly needing the advisory to be extended another 12 to 24 hours. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid boating in hazardous conditions.
