IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Saturday morning through Saturday evening. AFFECTED AREA...In South Carolina, Marlboro, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marion, Williamsburg, Coastal Horry, Inland Georgetown, Coastal Georgetown, Central Horry and Northern Horry. TIMING...From Saturday morning through Saturday evening. WINDS...Northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 to 25 percent. TEMPERATURES...Up to 62.
