WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, southwest winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt and waves 1 to 2 ft expected. For the Gale Watch, north winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 2 ft possible. WHERE...Currituck Sound. WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 10 PM this evening to 10 PM EDT Friday. For the Gale Watch, from late Friday night through Saturday afternoon. IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions.
