...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE CHEYENNE RIDGE AREA AND PAWNEE NATIONAL GRASSLANDS... AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 238, 239, 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245, 248 and 250. TIMING...From 2 PM this afternoon to 10 PM MDT this evening. WINDS...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts 25 to 35 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 3 percent. IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
