...AREAS OF FOG EARLY THIS MORNING... Areas of fog have formed, with patches of dense fog as well producing visibilities around 1/4 mile across parts of northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Visibilities will improve by the mid morning hours. Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility. When encountering fog, slow down, increase following distance, and use low-beam headlights.

IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Description

Moist air and light winds will produce areas of fog early this morning across the nearshore coastal waters and inland waterways. These conditions may produce some dense fog with visibility possibly below 1 NM. Marine interests should exercise caution due to dense fog. Visibilities may be restricted to less than 1 nm at times. Navigation may be hazardous in restricted waterways and channels.
